Staff Picks: Yoga Fun

Alana Barrett | Coordinator and lover of bendy fitness

A fellow CafePress’er and I started taking Bikram Yoga (the hot one) a few months ago. I’m not going to lie; the first 3 or 4 classes were awful! But, we paid an introductory rate of $30 for 30 days, so we were committed to give it a chance. We both noticed a change during the third week - yoga became less dreadful and more enjoyable. There are still parts of Bikram that I truly hate, despise even (like the camel pose), but it can be fun and funny when doing it with friends! We’ve even had a third CafePress’er join in on the fun. So, I share with you my favorite Yoga designs - enjoy!

Staff Pick: Wordjones

Darrell Jones | Supreme Overlord, Blurb Writer & Minor 18th-Century Poet

As I see libraries and bookstores shutting their doors right-and-left (only to be replaced by pre-fab video rental shops and tanning booth salons), I know that getting the word out on “words” becomes even more critical. Enter CafePress: Search for writer, and you’ll find a plethora of fun designs that tell a story of wordsmiths. Here are a handful that have me on the edge of my seat.

Staff Picks: I <3 Pi

Jo Chou | Web Developer Extraordinaire

As a proud geek and appreciator of the fine art of math, I’ve been in love with the irrationality of Pi since I recited the first 200 digits of pi my high school Pre-Calculus teacher for extra credit. As you might or might not know, March 14 is coming, which is 3/14, which means Pi Day! So in preparation for Pi Day, you can have a Pi party, eat lots of pie, and be the hit of your local Pi party with all this amazing gear! Nothing beats having a big pi clock on a gold chain hangin’ round your neck to show off how mathematically hip you are. Or maybe you just want impress your math teacher with your amazing Pi Day knowledge. ;)

Move over Square Root Day (03-03-09), it’s time for 3.14 to take the stage! (Though some say the true day of reckoning arrives on 3-14-15 9:26.5. We shall wait and see…we shall wait and see!)
