CafePressVoice/Moderator Pow-wow

We hosted our second annual CafePressVoice and Community Forum Moderator meeting at the CafePress office this past weekend (6/7). It was great to see everyone again, and we welcomed a few new faces!

CafePressVoice team is similar to a focus group in that they work with CafePress to provide the Shopkeeper “voice” to help us make choices when they exist, spot mistakes, think of things we haven’t, provide feedback/suggestions, and to communicate better. This meeting was an opportunity for us to get some face time with Shopkeepers from the Community (CPVs/Mods), share our plans for the coming year and get their feedback and insights from a Shopkeeper’s perspective.

The meeting was a great success! Let’s hear what they have to say about the weekend:

  • It was great to interact with CP employees and our fellow Shopkeepers. I would encourage everyone to attend any CP Meet & Greet that comes to your area. You can learn a lot in a very short time. (Kiwi)
  • CafePress made it obvious exactly why certain decisions and changes had to be made. We were also given plenty of numbers, and treated like business people ourselves. We were recognised as “entrepreneurs” who those numbers could affect. So the entire weekend wasn’t just dumbed down. (Adam)
  • It was really great to meet some of the more “behind the scenes” people from CP. (Audrie)
  • I now realize that CP is a company that really cares about the people who make it what it is. It is hard as a general shopkeeper to understand why things can’t get done or can’t be done. But, this weekend helped me to see how much thought and care goes into any decision. And I really feel like decisions are made based on the long term outlook for the company to ensure they still exist for years to come, which benefits the company and the shopkeepers. (Ne’)
  • This was my second year at the CafePressVoice kickoff meeting and it’s fascinating to watch how projects have developed and how much thought goes into them before CP even starts thinking about putting them in action. (Kristen)
  • I’m always impressed by Fred’s realness, sincerity and honesty about what can and can’t be shared, and about how CP is indeed a business but also how much they care about SKs. (Jean)
  • I feel confident that CP cares about the opinions of the shopkeepers, which is why the almost check & balance system of CPV was introduced. I think it’s great at CP is willing to ask, listen, and maybe modify what they had planned to do, just based on what would be best for all parties involved. (Kate)

Everyone worked hard, but played hard as well. Check out the photos!
